About us
A free, Canadian-built scholarship matching tool — independent and built for students.
Canadian Scholarship Helper helps students in Canada find scholarships, bursaries, grants, and fellowships they are more likely to qualify for. We are independent of the providers we list, we never collect applications on their behalf, and we do not sell student information.
Our mission
Make Canadian student funding less overwhelming.
Scholarship information in Canada is scattered — federal grants on Government of Canada portals, provincial aid on different provincial sites, university awards inside admissions pages, and private foundation awards spread across hundreds of websites.
We pull the most relevant Canadian opportunities into one place and rank them against a student's actual profile, so the few that fit best surface first. Nothing is hidden behind a paywall, and we do not require a sign-up to use the matching wizard.
Why this site exists
Too many eligible students miss funding they qualify for.
Most students do not miss out because they are not eligible — they miss out because nobody told them a particular bursary or grant existed, or because the application was buried five clicks deep on a provider site they had never visited.
A short, focused tool that surfaces the 5–10 most relevant opportunities for one student is more useful than a giant directory the student has to comb through alone.
How our data is sourced
Every listing is fact-checked against the official provider page.
Where the data comes from
Government of Canada and provincial student aid offices, Canadian universities and colleges, and major scholarship foundations (Loran, Schulich Leader, TD Scholarships for Community Leadership, Vanier, and others). We do not republish secondary-source listings without verifying the original.
How often we review it
Listings are reviewed on a rolling schedule. When a deadline passes, we re-verify against the provider's next published cycle. New scholarships are added once we have confirmed the eligibility criteria, award amount, deadline, and the official application URL.
Where you actually apply
Every scholarship card on this site links straight to the official provider's application page — no redirects, no tracking links, no lead-gen forms in the middle. We never collect or process scholarship applications on behalf of providers.
How we stay independent
We do not accept payment from scholarship providers in exchange for inclusion or ranking. The site is funded by the optional Toolkit Plus upgrade (CAD $19, one-time), advertising clearly labelled on the page, and disclosed affiliate partnerships that never include scholarship application links.
